Overview
Liberon Hard Wax Oil is a clear, highly durable blend of premium quality tung oil and carnauba wax ideal to use on interior surfaces like wooden flooring and furniture and is suitable for kitchens and bathrooms. Water-based it ensures a quick drying application and easy cleaning-up whilst providing a long lasting smooth and durable finish. Versatile, it is suitable for soft and hardwoods and can be used on bare wood or previously oiled woods. Using Liberon Hard Wax Oil will maintain the natural look of the wood, and will protect your wood against water, stains, heat, dirt and wear and tear.

Preparation
Ensure the surface is bare clean, dry and free from dirt and grease.
- Varnished or painted wood: Remove all old varnish, paint or wax with or sand down the surface to bare wood. Clean and remove all dust with a tack cloth.
- Waxed wood: Remove wax with . Neutralise and leave to dry. Sand the surface back with 240 grit paper and remove all dust with a tack cloth.
- Oiled wood: Sand the surface lightly with 240 grit paper and remove all dust with a tack cloth.
- Bare wood: Clean and sand the surface lightly with 240 grit paper and remove all dust with a tack cloth.
- Varnish floors: Sand the surface once with 60 grit paper, then with120 grit paper to ensure the wood is bare and free from any finish. Finish by sanding with 240 grit paper and remove all dust with a tack cloth.
- Stir thoroughly before use to ensure the product is completely mixed.
- Apply a first coat thinly with a brush or roller and leave to dry for 8 hours.
- Then sand with 240 grit paper and remove all dust.
- Apply a second coat in the same way as the first and leave to dry for 24 hours.
- Whilst the product is drying, do not allow any textile fibres to come in contact with it.
Application
Always test a small area of the surface to be treated to ensure you are happy with the finished results. The final finish can vary depending on the type of wood, especially with hardwoods.
Always follow manufacturer's instructions found on the tin
Note: it is advisable to avoid allowing water to sit on the surface of the treated wood during the immediate 3 weeks after application. This will give the product time to fully cure.
Aftercare & Storage
The treated surface can be washed with mild detergents.
If a small area becomes worn, sand the area lightly with 240 grit paper and remove all dust. Then apply another coat of Liberon Hard Wax Oil to the area and leave it to dry for 24 hours
